Onding is a conceptual publication for Southern Californians representing stories about local mountains, resorts, skiers and snowboarders. The particular issue focuses on Big Bear and the major changes the mountain has seen within the past three years, including demographic changes and new ownerships.
All photography was taken at local mountains of park guests and scenery, including the typographic imagery.
Invincible Summer, the typographic, photography project, was created using hand-cut paper letters attached to fishing line. The scene was staged during an early sunrise in front of Big Bear Lake, Ca. The featured quote is an excerpt from “Retour to Tipasa“, an essay from Albert Camus’ 1954 book, Summer (L’Êté).
